Faith and Order Commission
The Southern California Christian Forum sponsors a Commission on Faith and Order that has existed in the region for over half a century. The commission meets monthly through video conferencing to encourage theological dialogue between Christian traditions on issues confronting our churches.​ It also aims to help churches learn from dialogues in other regions and countries.

To promote prayer for Christian unity in Southern California

To receive, study, and respond to Faith and Order documents and to interpret these for local communities

To engage contemporary and fresh expressions of the church

To encourage seminaries and schools of religion to engage in Faith and Order studies

To provide theological perspectives on concerns and issues raised by the Southern California Christian Forum
